Works were carried out on the old part of the structure and included investigations into masonry and brickwork, including trial pits and ground investigations. Works also included the first ‘Fire Rating’ testing of concrete which involved mapping every bar to the basement concrete retaining wall and detecting any bars with less than 30mm cover.
To address these complexities, HTA deployed a multi-disciplinary team to deliver precise masonry and ground investigations alongside a meticulous reinforcement mapping program, ensuring every bar in the basement retaining walls met stringent fire safety criteria for our clients
