HTA working for FM Conway and Aecom carried out the largest PTSI contract in the UK.
HTA was appointed by FM Conway and AECOM to deliver the largest Post-Tensioned Special Inspection (PTSI) contract ever undertaken in the UK. Spanning over 18 months, the brief required a comprehensive structural health audit of the CS465 bridge to ensure long-term integrity and safety.
The project demanded complex logistical management across high-risk environments. Our teams had to navigate strictly timed road closures and major rail possessions, while simultaneously managing internal works within highly restrictive confined spaces. Coordinating multiple specialist teams across various access points above, below, and inside the structure required surgical precision to maintain the schedule without compromising safety.

Post-Tensioned Special Investigations (PTSI): Full-scale structural auditing and intrusive testing.
By deploying multiple expert teams in a phased, 24/7 rotation, HTA successfully managed the immense scale of the investigation. We utilised specialised access equipment and robust communication protocols to transition seamlessly between rail and road environments, delivering the data-rich reporting required by FM Conway and AECOM on time and within the largest PTSI framework in the country.
